A great way to spend the May Day Bank Holiday w/e.
Set off Friday evening on long journey up north. Finally got to campsite at 11.30pm. With help my tent was pitched in no time at all. A very cold night. Brrrrrrr!!!
Saturday
Crag Lough- Jezebel Diff. 23 m. My first outdoor climb this year, but it took an hour of very difficult walking, over large rocks and some bogs,to reach it. Weather was cool.
An easy one to start with, but my longest lead to date.
Then set belay at top for Margaret to follow.
Sunday
Koyle. Out of the Woods.
Drove near to the Scottish border.
Today we climbed on sandstone. 3 climbs. Nice and steady up to VS level.

Monday
Trowbarrow Quarry near the lakes
On way home now.
Climbed on limestone today.
Decided to climb this one inside the crack as outside footholds were very hard to find. Not wearing my best climbing shoes. A big thanks to the WideBoyZ for their masterclasses which came in very useful on this route. I used a leg jam, and a few hand jams!
A great week-end. Back training now as only 2 weeks to next competition.
